LAS VEGAS – 2012 CES
The first session I went to today was a presentation from the CEO of StreamTV Networks, Mathu Rajan. The theme of the presentation was how to make the 3D viewing experince better.
To do that, he announced his company’s newest product, seeCube 2D-3D converter box with Ultra-D Technology, that allows for “natural” 3D viewing without glasses
3D V.S. Ultra-D
Throughout the entire presentation, Mr. Rajan stressed that the 3D viewing experince should be as close to natural as possible. He explained how regular 3D with glasses tricks your brain into thinking it’s viewing 3D. The seeCube converter would be better. Without glasses, seeCube uses a Parallax Barrier, the same kind of technology that powers the Nintendo 3DS.
Where Ultra-D Would Be Available
One of the most impressive features of this 3D converter is that it works with any screen, not just the newer ones. They even talked about a model made for more mobile devices such as laptops, Smartphones, Tablets, etc.
But how would they get this converter into your TV set? Rajan said that StreamTV is working on Proliferation through Pertnerships.
What was even more interesting about that term is when he elaborated on it. He said they they currenlty had many different Major TV manufacturers signed up to bundle their TVs with a seeCube converter box. He also revealed that one of thise TVs is a 55-inch LED TV. Is he talking about the one announced by LG?
